Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee?

We enjoyed Madrid, thank you. Felt a bit old, though on the metro.

Back to reality today. Second week's holiday began with the dentist, and even worse - Ikea. Cue me sweating/swearing over a flat pack armchair.

i love ikea flatpack, me. sort of satisfying in an oblique swedish way...a bit like constructing furniture with instructions by ingmar bergman..."lift the veil of despair with allen key(fig. 3). Add to existential angst (fig. 2) with application of fear for the future (fig. 4)"

Ikea flatpack makes me feel like a real man. 'Look what I done'.

Of course it's pretty foolproof, unless you have to fit hinges which are a bastard.

What we thought were cd towers yesterday turned out to be dvd towers. Ended up phoning Ikea to see if cd towers in stock. Went to Ikea today and of course no cd towers. Bought another dvd tower. Now have an extensive dvd tower collection and lots of cds on the floor. Still, there's always Saturday when they should have a delivery by.

Jutis towers: no assembly apart from the four little sticky feet on the bottom. Even I could do that without crying.

Does the Swedish football team have a flatpack four?

Possibly the best joke I've heard this year, Geoff. But that may be because I went to IKEA recently so my views are coloured.

wpmloo. A novelty tickling stick, for use on Magic Buses.
