On the eve of his 'Rome Around The World' tour, I ask Pope Benedict XVI if he's going to perform any new material.
'Well you know I'd like to, Geoff. I still feel like I've got a lot to offer. But the fans just want the old stuff. And they're the ones who pay my wages, they call the tune as such. I just wanna spread love, let love rule as Lenny Kravitz sang. Christ, I'd love to do that one live.'

I didn't get to see the show. But I did see Ian Paisley rapping on 'There's Joy in Repetition' on Prince's Grafitti Bridge tour.
'All you Need is Love', as pope JohnPaul used to sing.
Pope GeorgenRingo will doubtless want to sing 'Yellow Submarine' when he takes over...
Wouldn't the current Pope be likely to perform "Springtime For Hitler And Germany", and have a projection of some Lene Riefenstahl footage playing behind him? Whoops ...
Or 'Yesterday, when I was young'?
